CELEBRATE WINTER SOLSTICE

The Winter Solstice is a sacred moment of renewal and growth. It is the moment in the year when the night is the longest and the day the shortest. In Australia it falls on 21st June this year. It is a moment to pause and turn inwards, to reflect and prepare for the new season. On this day we celebrate the return to the light. We feel the hope and positivity the renewing power of the sun’s energy brings into our lives and open up to fully manifest the potential of our true selves.

This is a very special moment for:

  • Opening your heart and re-creating your life – transforming and healing
  • Aligning your consciousness with your highest life goals and aspirations
  • Connecting to the energy of the beginning and setting new intentions

This ceremony will include drinking ceremonial cacao, guided meditation, breathwork, sound, interactive exercises, intention-setting and inner reflection. It is a chance to release what is ready to fall away and plant intentions for the new cycle that begins with this auspicious moment. Together we’ll pause, reset and consciously mark the transition into the lighter half of the year.

What is ceremonial Cacao?

Known as “the food of the gods”, cacao has long been revered as a sacred plant medicine. It has been used in rituals throughout Mesoamerica for thousands of years and in recent times has become increasingly popular in spiritual ceremonies in the West. It is so much more than a warm drink – ceremonial cacao can help us to amplify intentions, go deeper in states of meditation and become more aligned with the universal consciousness. It is also facilitates beautiful states of emotional openness and supports connectivity and togetherness when used in a group setting.

On a biochemical level, the alkaloid theobromine in ceremonial cacao gently stimulates the heart, allowing for a profound sense of interconnectedness and love. Cacao also contains phenylethylamine which is associated with the release of endorphins, the body’s feel-good hormones. Combined with cacao’s serotonin boost, this creates an uplifting, euphoric experience while making you feel calm and at peace.

As it is a vasodilator, theobromine relaxes the blood vessels and enhances blood flow. Regular consumption of cacao has been associated with improved blood circulation and a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases. Improved blood circulation is crucial for delivering oxygen and nutrients to brain cells and optimises cognitive function. Drinking cacao may contribute to better memory, increased focus and enhanced overall brain health.

If you have any pre-existing heart conditions or are pregnant or breast feeding, it is good to consult your medical practitioner before consuming ceremonial cacao.
