CELEBRATE SPRING EQUINOX

When the Southern Hemisphere enters into Spring, we will soon after reach the auspicious moment of Spring Equinox – a profound time of stillness in which we can tune into the perfect balance between day and night, before the light starts to grow even more.

Being held in the week of the equinox, which takes place on Wednesday 23rd September, this ceremony is an invitation to connect to the energy of balance. Together we’ll create a sacred space to prepare for the coming season in a conscious, intentional way. Supported by heart-awakening ceremonial cacao, we will enjoy an evening of inner reflection, intention-setting and conscious connections. It’s a chance to release what you’re ready to let go of and plant the seeds of what you’re ready to grow into next.

What to expect:
– A warm, candlelit space for you to relax and open
– Ceremonial cacao, specially prepared with love and spices
– Guided meditations for deep introspection
– Heartfelt interactive exercises
– Profound breathwork practices

What is ceremonial Cacao?

Known as “the food of the gods”, cacao has long been revered as a sacred plant medicine. It has been used in rituals throughout Mesoamerica for thousands of years and in recent times has become increasingly popular in spiritual ceremonies in the West. It is so much more than a warm drink – ceremonial cacao can help us to amplify intentions, go deeper in states of meditation and become more aligned with the universal consciousness. It is also facilitates beautiful states of emotional openness and supports connectivity and togetherness when used in a group setting.

On a biochemical level, the alkaloid theobromine in ceremonial cacao gently stimulates the heart, allowing for a profound sense of interconnectedness and love. Cacao also contains phenylethylamine which is associated with the release of endorphins, the body’s feel-good hormones. Combined with cacao’s serotonin boost, this creates an uplifting, euphoric experience while making you feel calm and at peace.

As it is a vasodilator, theobromine relaxes the blood vessels and enhances blood flow. Regular consumption of cacao has been associated with improved blood circulation and a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases. Improved blood circulation is crucial for delivering oxygen and nutrients to brain cells and optimises cognitive function. Drinking cacao may contribute to better memory, increased focus and enhanced overall brain health.

If you have any pre-existing heart conditions or are pregnant or breast feeding, it is good to consult your medical practitioner before consuming ceremonial cacao.
